Challah 是傳統的猶太人辮子麵包~


這challah是參照外國食譜做出來的


我本身對猶太人並沒有很有研究~但我知道在猶太人的傳統食譜裏是用大量的蛋,糖和麵份


猶太教的傳統奶製品和肉類不同時進食,所以虔誠的猶太人這個麵包通常不會使用奶油和牛奶等


而challah也算是很受歡迎的麵包,非猶太教人把食譜都加了不同的變化


而這個食譜是用奶油取替油,蜂蜜取替糖~我只取了1半的分量做1條~


這個麵包真的非常好吃~很鬆軟(可以看到麵包纖維細長~)


整體是很柔軟但也有一點咬勁


這麵包如是沾上果醬或配上紅湯或白湯更好吃^^


新手的福音^^so easy

Ingredients: (2 Bread)


500g flour


40g sugar


1Tbsp honey


1egg


25g instant yeast


200ml lukewarm water


60g butter,room temperature


7g salt


1egg beaten with 1 tbsp of milk


some sesame seeds, or poopy seeds


Method:


1. To the mixing bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, honey, yeast, butter, egg and water mix together


2. first with spoon then by hand, knead the dough for 7 min.


(you can also use an eletric mixer instead of mixing by hand)


3.you can remove it from bowl to knead on the table


4. Let it rise, once dough change its texture, form it into a ball and put it back into bowl


5. allow dough to rise for 1.5-2hours or until dough has doubled in size


6. protion the dough~punch air out of dough


7. shape into log and let it rest for 1-2 min


8. cut it into 6 roughtly even portions


9. Roll and shape


10. allow it to raise again until it doubles in size


11. preheat set oven to 180C


12. brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds


13. bake for 10-30 min aprox
